Futuron was a subtheme of LEGO Space introduced in 1987 and was discontinued in 1990.
Details[]
The theme focused on a peaceful group of explorers that battled against the astronauts from Blacktron. The theme used the same color scheme as later sets of Classic Space.
The minifigures of the theme are all the same, except being in different colors. They are astronauts in white outfits with a different color on it (red, yellow, blue or black) The colors are separated by a zipper. The theme centered around the 6990 Monorail Transport System, which featured a battery-powered train system.
The theme, having more than 17 sets, was considered one of the largest LEGO Space themes of its' time.

- The theme uses the same logo as Classic Space.
- Bricks 'N' Pieces magazine confirmed that Futuron is an updated version of Classic Space, which explains the same logo.
